NanoPro: Every Tank, Every Pass

Nano-Yield • January 14, 2025

Growers that use NanoPro can expect their active ingredients to have better plant uptake in any tank mix. How much better depends on variables such as crop, weather, and chemistry. However, field testing can give growers and agronomists a better idea of what to expect.

NanoPro is a unique “carrier” adjuvant that is not like other adjuvants such as spreaders or stickers. Nanoliquids load and carry any crop chemistry in solution, and are readily absorbed by plants. NanoPro has the most benefit when added with products like herbicides and fungicides which are translaminar or systemic in action. Chemistries which have a contact only mode of action (which does not require absorption by the plant) may not benefit as much from the addition of NanoPro.

While it is impossible to test NanoPro with every product in every field due to cost and time constraints, Nano-Yield has compiled a graph showing data from a broad range of active ingredients at various field sites. The data presented was supplied by a combination of commercial operations, third party researchers, and Nano-Yield agronomists.

When comparing the effect of NanoPro with various crop protection products there can be instances of increased uptake as high as 140%, however the average is 20-50%. Nano-Yield encourages commercial growers to do their own testing to confirm the benefits of NanoPro in their field. Growers can contact a Nano-Yield Representative for more information.

How does better plant uptake affect yield? Better plant uptake of crop protection products means better control of pests that limit crop health. When crops are protected, yield is sustained. An additional benefit to increased crop protection is a reduced need for re-application in many circumstances which can save growers time and money.

There are only so many gut punches the Florida citrus industry can take. And with the exceptionally heavy blows dealt by greening over recent years, you would think the Sunshine State’s signature crop would be down for the count.
